TATWEER Academy Vision in MSMEs

In putting our own vision into action, TATWEER Academy has proudly supported initiatives for our local community. TATWEER Academy has experience in targeting women and youth for capacity building through training, development projects, seminars, workshops and even providing seed funding for entrepreneurs own MSMEs; recognising that innovative ideas and an ‘entrepreneurial mindset’ can be nurtured, fostered and mentored with the right tools, training and support. TATWEER Academy is also invested in awareness-raising through media, including television, radio and print media with the objective of becoming the ‘home of empowerment’ because at TATWEER Academy we believe “Every Day is a New Day” to become more educated, more knowledgeable, more confident and collectively work together to rebuild not just Basra, but all of Iraq.

Tawteer Academy’s MSMEs capacity building and training curriculum aims to promote, support and empower marginalised populations across 18 regions in Iraq, for longer-term small business sustainability and economic growth of regions and throughout wider Iraq. Training packages ranging from intensive foundational programs to longer and more comprehensive programs, deliver the education, support and know-how for MSMEs to conceptualise, develop, build and sustain their businesses, leading to independence and empowerment of local and regional economies.

Contextually designed and developed programs from TATWEER Academy, offer micro, small and medium-size enterprise entrepreneurs the training and education they require in a safe, encouraging and inclusive environment that fosters creative approaches and innovative ideas. Through training, education and capacity building, TATWEER Academy envisions a future for Iraqis which provides opportunities whereby people and small entrepreneurial co-ops can demonstrate their intrinsic innovation, pursue their creative aspirations through small business, and find spaces available to nurture the potential growth within all of us when inclusive opportunities are provided. TATWEER Academy deeply understands the importance of micro, small and medium size businesses and their essential contribution to communities. Subsequently, TATWEER Academy has invested vast resources into developing MSME training programs that cultivate this essential branch of the economy and sustainable future economic growth in Iraq.

 

At TATWEER Academy places emphasis and priorities mentoring and support to small business owners and entrepreneurs even at the conclusion of formalized training. People who train with TATWEER Academy come to understand that our training is supported to them until such time as MSMEs feel independent and profitable using the tools and know-how provided to them in training sessions. TATWEER Academy is highly invested in standing side by side with MSMEs through business development implementation, business launches, their management and even recruitment of human resources. Demonstrating the belief, we have in our MSMEs we regularly ask micro and small business owners to come back to TATWEER Academy and speak to new program classes as ‘guest-speakers’ and ‘experts in the industry’. This support is TATWEER Academy’s way of giving back and ensuring people of Basra and wider Iraq know that TATWEER Academy is tirelessly committed to Iraq’s future.
